CRA's Lorraine Symmes and Leslie Adams presented a painting to Credit Valley Conservation chair Pat Mullin, following Lorraine's presentation to the CVC's board of directors on January 21, 2005. The presentation served as a means of the CRA to formally introduce themselves to the board, to summarize CRA activities to date and to demonstrate the CRA’s support of CVC’s efforts to stringently protect the watershed.

The painting, by Glen Williams artist George Perdue was donated by the artist.

Mr. Perdue, along with fellow artist Sue Powell and Leslie Adams, was an integral organizer of the “Celebrating the Credit River ” art show, held concurrently with Norval Riverfest in June 2004.

Eleven local artists, who donated 30% of the proceeds from their sales to the CRA, participated in the show, showcasing 40 pieces inspired by the Credit River watershed.

A complete success that exceeded expectations and met with an enthusiastic response from the public and artists alike, plans are already underway for a future expanded show.
